Ripcord: Alternative desktop chat client for Slack (and Discord)

I love how the first bullet point is "Not made from a web browser." Great to see some non-Electron competition in the chatting space!

Doesn't discord block non-native client users?

I don't use the service itself but I was thinking about it. Some misguided FOSS projects are using it. But I wanted to use the matrix bridge as I don't want the native client on my computer. So I'm wondering if this banning is still going on. If these guys invested time into building this client I guess it's not a big problem anymore?
