Is YouTube worth $180bn today?

mannhowie.com

youtube is worth near nothing (actually I think they may be more toxic than anything else now, for instance they broke noscript/basic (x)html support, see invidious), the CDNs are where most of the real value is.

how many subscribers would it take to reach this valuation (ignoring ad revenue)

let's do napkin math

$12 / month ~ $150 / year

10x value-to-revenue calc

180B / 150 / 10 ~ 120M subscribers

Of 2.6 billion users, 120M subs ~ 5% subscription rate would alone validate this valuation

What is this accounting?
