I turned a basic URL shortener into a profitable SaaS platform (615€/MRR)

I spent quite a bit of time writing this article on Indie Hackers about how I turned a handy tool into a SaaS platform. I'd be happy if you could take the time to read it and get some feedback on it.

I don't understand. If I own http://www.example.com you make a custom domain like http://xple.com/something or http://xple.uelr/something or what?

Congrats on the success. If I were to use this product I would be concerned about broken urls when the operation is shut down.
