Cold showers as German city of Hanover reacts to Russian gas crisis

There is no "Russian Gas Crisis".

All the Germans have to do is turn on Nordstream 2. It's pressurised and ready for use. But they'd better hurry up about it.

The Russians won't keep allocating that amount of gas to Nordstream 2 indefinitely. It will end up being allocated to other clients, meaning that even if the Germans belatedly turn on Nordstream 2 finally, there won't be any gas left in it for them to use.
