This probably does not only apply to software but to UI/UX in general.
The "atarimae" translates to "UI/UX that works" and "miryouteki" is "UI/UX that is pleasing to use".
After watching a talk from Kevin Hale (former YC partner) on How to Build Products Users Love, I decided to write about quality applied to software and technical products. I would love to hear your thoughts about this piece.
"Types of quality" reminds me of Robert M. Pirsig's "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance"
Also the first thing on my mind. Reading the article I see that Zeno
Rocha's article is about functional versus non-functional qualities,
whereas Pirsig's philosophy is about static versus dynamic forms of
quality.
Pirsig's first book talks a bit about classical vs romantic thinking.
Which is a loot like the articles description of functional and aesthetical quality.
Plaid's use of using an API to apply to jobs is very nifty.
