It seems like long covid is likely a few different issues. I've read some promising studies and treatments around the micro clotting, but this appears to indicate that some people maintain a viral reservoir that they are unable to clear. I wonder if a monoclonal antibody treatment might be able to help this subset of people.
How is what that paper describes different from how herpes zoster, HIV, and hepatitis C stick around forever?
These studies say that it can find the virus up to 12 months after covid. Does that mean the symptoms subside after 12 months?
