GitPaid lets you add a paywall to your GitHub repositories. Create a project, set your price, share your sale link, done. Once someone buys your repo, they get automatically invited to your GitHub repository.

We would love to see your projects and really looking forward to your feedback, ideas and reported bugs.

Feel free to ask us anything, we will be around answering in the comments.

If just for the name, I want this project to succeed. That's such a smart name, I love it. Good luck, your website looks great, it explains well what you do and I could totally see people make use of it.

Thanks a lot! appreciate it!

Do you have any people using this? What kind of projects are they using this for?

I wouldn't consider using this or generally buying on GitHub because a paywall is antithetical to what GitHub is for developers. If you want to sell, and get me to buy, do it on your website. The micro-monetization of github will break it I fear

We just launched the MVP after few hours of building it. We're hopping to see premium templates and boilerplates to be sold using GitPaid.

GitHub is one of the integrations we're supporting, we're working on more integrations like Notion, Twitter etc...

The point is that people want to sell things, I think that's given. However, the usual platforms make it hard make the code you have available to other people. We talked to lots of people who weren't sure how to monetize their template and were using classic marketplaces; but usually it's offering a zip file or a link to download folder, which is inconvenient and means it's hard to update your code and breaks your workflow. With GitPaid, we try to make it as simple as possible, by automatically inviting the buyer to the repo, so you can keep pushing code as usual to GitHub. And we see a lot more opportunities, like not only integrating with more git providers but even completely different tools, to sell things where they already are and make it accessible to anyone.

Hope that clarifies the idea; if you're still not convinced that is fine as well :)
