R/RimWorld have been chronicling the story of “cancer man”

RimWorld is a video game that is part colony builder, part life sim. I feel that games like RimWorld or Dwarf Fortress emphasize storybuilding, and sometimes, fun narratives arise.

/r/RimWorld has been getting updates of a particular character in a player's game, nicknamed "Cancer Man." The man has a lot of cancer. https://www.reddit.com/r/RimWorld/comments/xcopjk/cancer_man...

This has spread to updates on his condition (https://www.reddit.com/r/RimWorld/search/?q=cancer+man&inclu...), his victory in a local election (while still being in a coma) and his getting a girlfriend. The story is still ongoing.

Felt that HN might appreciate something fun that's arising out of a video game in real time.
