That seemed like the inevitable outcome. The whole press conference they had before that was weird with this one NASA guy being super dismissive of the forecasts. Are Technica had a good post about it [0]

It does seem like they’re getting a lot of top-down pressure to just launch the thing. What’s even crazier to me is that this is supposed to be the only full test before people ride the actual thing.
