I was still curious about the translation quality, so I checked BMCR. Here is a review that praises the translation:

That's not really a surprise considering the high quality of the Landmark series in other areas, but it's reassuring.

Big thumbs up to the Landmark Histories project (http://thelandmarkancienthistories.com/). Excellent production value making reading these histories much more managable -- you're 100% right on the frequent maps and good appendixes.

Don't have Anabasis, but Herodotus was excellent.
