I mean, spying on citizens, being a blight on society, contributing to child suicides, playing both sides of the publish or perish card, et al.

You are the chief TECHNOLOGY officer above all (contractor or not), right? I am not sure you will reply, but I hope you read this and focus on the technology. It would be nice to publish your slides before the 'unscripted' talk.
