Why doesn’t your company allow remote?

Because they're out of touch

as most of the companies in EU

If they’re unwilling to make changes then perhaps they are not really struggling?

The Dutch companies I'm familiar with have one office day per week. That seems pretty reasonable to me.

Not really because you still have to live near the office.
