The number of Mastodon users went from 6.0M to 6.6M in the last week. https://bitcoinhackers.org/@mastodonusercount

Mastodon is only one tiny part of the Fediverse. Makes my estimate seem OK.

According to this page, between September 1st and November 13th, the user count went from 6.12M to 7.56M, so an increase of 23%. Where does your estimation come from?
