Following. Lots of folks I know in the US, canceled their upcoming trips to China as a result of this.
As someone who left China after Xi got into power I find the West's attitude towards the country hard to understand. But I also can not explain why an apartment fire in Urumqi would be the final straw that gets folks on the streets. Especially in places like Shanghai where the lockdown was insane.
Not that anything will come of it, Xi's grip of the system is absolute at this point.
