If an antitrust bill doesn't include Microsoft, something's extremely off and fishy. MSFT doesn't get the attention Apple and Google do, but they're much more of a monopoly.
It does : the House and Senate, would lay down key ground rules for dominant firms including Alphabet Inc.’s Google, Amazon.com Inc., Apple Inc., Facebook parent Meta Platforms Inc. and Microsoft Corp.
The government is trying to stop their monopoly from getting bigger via the FTC blocking the Activision acquisition. That's separate from the bill though
There are some potential very big game changers, I do hope it will pass. Specially because I think a lot of theses measures can only be applied through regulation and will improve consumer experience.
The problem for me with walled garden is 'if they are legal, every company SHOULD enforce them if they can. Not doing so would be plain stupid.'
