Why the idea that Southern Europe is more corrupt than Northern Europe is a myth

This is just lazy populist nonsense, why give it any airtime on HN?

His argument essentially boils down to that some corruption exists in Northern Europe, therefore Southern Europe can’t be more corrupt.
