Didn't they release a $42 plan a couple of weeks ago? What's the difference here - or did it just flop so they dropped the price and rebranded?

The $42/mo thing was a hoax. Several news outlets picked it up since it looked pretty legit. In hindsight, the price point should have tipped us off.

Could still be fake/hoax, but alternatively it could be real and OpenAI just dropped the price after consistent feedback that it was too high.
