Seems like the process for redirecting callers claiming to be police to someone who can verify their claim needs to be provided to the supoort representatives.
I do want to point out that if there was a news article that said "VW will allow authorities access to car GPS via request" people would absolutely lose their minds over the potential for overreach.
In this case, it's great to see the overwhelming response being positive to allowing it in this case.
The headline of this is terrible and obviously intended as clickbait. The other discussion explains why better than I would.
