Do you mean in order to detect whether students are using them? I haven't heard of ChatGPT being used in education at all, tbqh.
I'm not fully convinced it was a net-positive, because sometimes asking the "dumb" question shows that other people in class had that question but didn't want to ask, or didn't know they had that question until someone else voiced it.
