TIAA bank is intereting with their CIDARS which breaks balances > 250K into CDs created in partner institutions.

Isn't the concept of 'startup bank' kinda the same of 'startup gasoline' or 'startup coal' ?

Banking is a 500 years old business. There is no re-inventing the wheel at least customer side.

Wells Fargo, JPMorganChase, Bank of America, Citi. The regular , known ones. Banking is not the place to look for alpha.

Get a sweep account at Mercury or another bank. Those will be held in multiple different banks each being below the FDIC insurance threshold.
