RED's lawsuit against Nikon dismissed

One of the more important cases. Ughh RED, trying to obstruct whole industries.

Alas, no real progress for the rest of us. Nikon claimed, as others have, that Red's patent on compressing RAW on camera is invalid (fuck yeah it's total horseshit). But instead of resolving, both parties agreed to dismiss:
