Meta has no choice but to sell Giphy at $262M loss to Shutterstock

I go to the trouble of making my own unique gifs and uploading them to Giphy with uncommon keywords, and six months later you still can't find them in the search. How are new gifs supposed to become popular if they never get surfaced to the users?

Would’ve been extra fun if the illustration image for the article, with the Meta and the Giphy logo, was from Shutterstock.

But it’s still pretty funny that a stock photo of the logos of Meta and Giphy is there, in an article that is about these in relation to a stock photo company.

Meta being forced to sell a meme generator because it’s monopolistic while microsoft can own everything under the sun must the apex of governance stupidity.

Or good lawyering by MSFT's lawyers.

Your comment implies that the Federal government legit thinks MSFT's monopolies are ok, and that they always get what they want in this area. Obviously the latter is def not true.
