Show HN: Slik Protect – One Click Firestore Backups and Restores

Hello HN community,

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our one-click solution to backup your Firestore database.

We built the first completely automated Firestore backups solution, simply because none existed right now. There are various half backed packages or tools that you can use to build one yourself.

However, we wanted something —

  - easy to configure
  - configure and forget
  - restore with reliability
  - support sub-collection backups
  - get notified

Thus we built a SaaS tool for Firestore Backups and Restores.

As a SaaS backup tool, we offer —

  - customizable retention policy
  - customizable backup frequency
  - one click restore
  - slack notifications for backups
  - low RTO, configurable RPO, and
  - manually select a few collections (or all collections by default)

One more thing. You get realtime progress updates on the Slik Console when your data is being backed up / restored.

About Slik Protect: - all backed up data is encrypted using military-grade AES-256 encryption, - each project on Slik has a unique private key, - undergoing SOC2, ISO-27001 compliances,

Please let us know if it works for you and if you have any feedback. Visit: https://www.slikprotect.com/apps/backups/firestore
