Ask HN: What is the most fluent query builder UI you have come across?
Do you have any preferences ?

My comparison, I recently used a brand new MySQL tool, and it was horrible.
The peak for programming was somewhere around Delphi, Visual Basic 6, Microsoft Office 2000 Professional. (Right before .NET). In Delphi or VB6, You could build a UI in a matter of an hour or so, and then "wire up" code to all the events, and you were done. My preference was for Delphi, but the amazing thing about VB6 was you could do anything with Office 2000, including databases, email, etc.
Access 2000 allowed you to have "relationships" between tables, that it just took care of, like magic. The tools were amazing. Delphi could tie into it through ODBC, as could VB6.
Since the web, and the push to make everything an "app" on a phone, the number of layers and adapters has gone through the roof, and it's all unsustainable.
