Ask HN: Fintech Engineers, why not build an open source payment processor in EU?

Hey folks. We are a team of two who, after building up code to deal with EU bank transfers over and over again in our previous companies, started thinking that this infrastructure that powers money movement for all kinds of fintech companies/products should be OPEN SOURCED!

I'd love to get the community's input on what are the most annoying and shitty parts about money movement that you had to engineer (e.g. for us it was dealing with shitty XML files upload to banks, initiation of SEPA payments, EBICS integrations etc…) Would love to know your experiences and and if anyone is interested in helping us out building an open source money "movement" :D !!
