Today Arcol released a preview build to everyone. Think Figma, but for people who design modern buildings.

Arcol engineer here! Happy to answer any questions about it.

And of course, we're hiring! Reach out if you're interested - james@arcol.io

Is there a post somewhere other than Medium? I'm getting a login page which I have zero interest in resolving.

That's the only officially published location, but I've just uploaded a PDF of it on my personal site that you can read here without having to visit Medium at all: https://jamesbvaughan.com/docs/arcol-preview-release-post.pd...

Neat - I signed up and played with it but why would you take access away? That makes me want to stop playing with it! Which is a bummer because I've always wanted to learn CAD and this really does seem like a much more palatable CAD product than any other I've seen. I'm only a hobbyist/probably not really in your target audience but snazzy product you've got here.

Fair question. We're not quite ready to go into full open beta yet, but we also don't want to keep teasing folks who have been on the waitlist for over a year and are eager to see our progress.

We want to provide high-quality support to our users, but we don't yet have the resources to provide that support _and_ make rapid progress on developing new features. Opening up temporarily like this gives us time to see our current feature set in the hands of interested architects (and hobbyists!), get feedback and direction from them, but then get back to heads-down development after the preview is over.

If you're interested in maintaining access after this preview release is over, feel free to reach out to me at james@arcol.io!
