> Nuclear power plants worldwide have routinely discharged water containing tritium for over 60 years without harm to people or the environment, most at higher levels than planned for Fukushima,” Tony Irwin, an honorary associate professor at the Australian National University, said.
shame a plant built in 1971 has to give modern 2023 nuclear options a bad name.
The bad name comes from fact that there was zero progress from 1971 to 2023 on the topic of nuclear waste treatment & disposal.
The solution was always dump it away from me and close to the neighbor I hate.
you don't buy the argument what if we stopped all progress on airplanes after a few crashes in 1970?
