As a Doctor, Mother and Head of CDC I Recommend You Get the Latest Covid Booster

What is being a mother and a doctor got anything to do with getting boosted?
Its like me saying, As a retired psychotherapist and father I whole heartedly recommend that every child needs to be psychoanalysed while they are still at school for the benefit of society. What a load of rubbish!
why not just say: The latest booster is available for the vulnerable and those wishing to get boosted.
I am sure there are plenty of people who want to rush out and get boosted, again and again and again and again and again. To what ends?
I am nearly 70 years old and I did not get any so called vaccine, though the covid vaccine is not actually a vaccine. My parents chose to have me vaccinated with the childhood vaccines that were at least put through years of research and had decent positive outcomes.
although looking at history, it was the introduction of clean water, sanitisation and sewerage networks that really had the biggest impact on human health, virus control and reduction in deaths.
I dont see this with the new (covid) flu vaccine
In a way, it’s laudable, but it also smacks of naivety.
For it to work for me she’d have to acknowledge that it was politicised in the first place. She seems to have missed that, which seems either bad advice or perhaps more likely indicates that then CDC as an organisation isn’t yet ready to acknowledge the need to change.
I really don't get people that make a big deal about rejecting scientific advancements that protect their health. Like you're winning points for being contrarian or something. Do you wave a little flag that says "I win" when you get sick, or you get someone else sick? Does coughing in bed, a sore throat, or a raw drippy nose make you feel like you've got one over on The Man? Is a 3 day fever and chugging gatorade a ton of fun?
Curious because you seem really confident so I guess maybe you're an expert in the area?
Are you sure? Do you have any evidence that the vaccinated who caught COVID would not have had worse symptoms had they not been vaccinated?
I’m pretty sure all the stats at the time showed greater infection rates, greater hospitalisation rates, and greater mortality among the unvaccinated than the vaccinated.
EDIT: spelling
But you don't want to hear the evidence. You just like this perception you have that the vaccines "don't do anything". So I won't try to correct that perception. But I will ridicule you, judge you, and shame you. Anti-vaxxers deserve contempt because they put people's lives at risk and make lifer harder for the rest of us. People who didn't get a flu shot were garbage people because they got more people sick with the flu, and having the flu sucks. People who don't get a covid shot are even more garbage because the mortality for covid is so much higher, there are uncertain long-term health effects even for healthy young people, and getting covid sucks. I'll talk down to anyone that screws other people over when they could easily avoid it, purely because they prefer to live in denial.
or, do you take every new shot and antibiotic preventively, just because you have a "progressive" mind ?
funny how the collectivist thinking i have seen in communism is making big waves today: i do everything for my comrades, and i feel great.
take a booster for me dude.
Unfortunately it isn't as simple as more vaccine = more healthy.
