Electronic Tiny TRS-80 Model III

Oh, hey. I made that! Let me know if you have questions. This is the QT Py board that's inside: https://www.adafruit.com/product/5426 It's connected to this display: https://www.adafruit.com/product/5206 Via this adapter: https://www.adafruit.com/product/5772 Here's the example CircuitPython code that it ships with: https://codeberg.org/trevorflowers/tiny-trs-80-model-iii/src... Here's a quick video of me making the non-electronic version of the same model: https://diode.zone/w/7DvD6MmCdF9dQS3ioWomGy The electronic version just has a bit more soldering and setup.

Oh, if you're on the fediverse then you can find me at @trevorflowers@machines.social.

This guy makes the coolest stuff.

His full-size Alto replicas are awesome.

I’ve never spent money so quickly.

I love miniaturized computers like these! It's hardly practical to own and keep out all of our beloved '70s and '80s computer, but if they were all available in sizes like this, well, I'd have to have the whole set :)

this is nice! wonder what it would take to make it emulate a small DOS like environment. the qt py has an esp32s3, which afaik is quite a beast for a microcontroller.
