What's Going on at Italy's Campi Flegrei Caldera?

> On March 16, 2022, a magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck the Phlegraean Fields on the western edge of the Solfatara. On March 29, 2022, a magnitude 3.6 earthquake occurred east of the Solfatara. These two events were the strongest since the 1980s crisis.[12]

> In September 2023, the two most severe earthquakes in 40 years occurred in the region within a few weeks. On September 7th, a magnitude 3.8 earthquake shook the Phlegraean Fields. There was minor damage to buildings in Agnano, a suburb of Naples, and a power outage in Pozzuoli.[23] An even stronger earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 was recorded on September 27th and was still felt in Rome. Once again there was minor damage to buildings.[24]
