Again recommend the HTTP client in the Jetbrains IDEs for this. Everything is text based and goes neatly in your repo. You can pull in npm and script against responses and for tests if you like. It’s also constantly updated.
This is not true. I installed intellij community, searched through it's plugins for http clients, and Jetbrains' plugin shows up all greyed out with the message "ultimate only".
