Show HN: Beacon – Track Goals and Metrics Right in Jira
marketplace.atlassian.com
Project tracking tools (e.g., Jira) emphasize tasks, not outcomes, creating misaligned incentives. Over the past 10+ years, I have struggled to find a tool that ties day-to-day dev work to product or team goals. So I created Beacon, a Jira addon that puts the emphasis on goals.
Beacon aims to do three things well:
1- Help teams clearly see the goals they're aiming for.
2- Forecast key metrics to alert teams early if their goals might not be met.
3- Show individuals how their contributions are moving the team closer to its goals.
If you've faced similar challenges, I'd love for you to try Beacon and let me know what you think. I would appreciate any feedback you can provide on the problem, value proposition, and the solution. Thank you for your time!
