Hi all, my tiny team and I shipped our first title this week, a survival horror action-RPG called "You Will Die Here Tonight". The team consisted of one artist (plus some contractors earlier in the process), one designer, one composer, one sound designer, one writer, and myself as the sole programmer! It's been a dream working on the game and I'm so happy it's out in the world. I wanted to share it with y'all as this has been my digital home for the last decade. Cheers!
Congrats! What was your approach to making money while building a game for that long?
We were able to pay some of the team during production, but definitely some of us are pouring sweat equity into the project and have not been paid. For my part, that's meant holding down a traditional job during part of the game's development and working evenings and weekends on YWDHT.
