This is… oh man I dislike this. This will only solidify the “chatgpt is a computer that knows things” mental model people have, which I think leads to insanely mistaken intuitions and complaints. There’s a reason OpenAI has been workshopping their “WARNING: any and all answers might be bullshit” message this whole time!

Don’t worry. Anyone worth their salt in this space is doing RAG, using LLMs as a reasoning engine.
