Shout out to minecraft/mojang who got on the case of creating awareness three years ago. I shure there's many like me that would not know what an axolotl is otherwise.

My family has taken a trip to visit a particular zoo because we knew it had axolotls and our girls fell in love with them in Minecraft. There is a lot of attention on the negative aspects of our digital lifestyles, but there are absolutely positives as well.

Axolotl's aren't just in Mexico, too!

I remember doing a report on them some 40 years ago after visiting those lakes with my family. I wonder how those lakes are doing now...

The campaign link on The Guardian leads to merchandise. This link presents a range of adoption plans (in English):

As a side note, axolotl stuffed animals are available from Build a Bear:

Enough said

How do you say its name?

At first I thought the ecologists wanted to save the axolotl library :)

So they're starting the Bene Tleilax order then?
