So far the only playlist I'm using smart shuffle with is my Christmas one. I put in a bunch of the weird shit I want to hear, and it injects some mainstream stuff to keep the wife and kids happy. So it's doing a bad job matching my tastes, but I'm exploiting that as a feature.

Seriously such a buggy and undesirable feature. Smart shuffle replaced the default shuffle for me on all interfaces that didn't get updated to switch between the two shuffles, so on Android Auto, the only shuffle option was smart shuffle and I had to use my phone to switch to dumb shuffle.

Then it isn't even really smart or a shuffle. It just inserts the same 3 songs, in every playlist regardless of how well it would fit.

The successful network call condition is particularly frustrating. However, I enjoy the feature on the whole.
