Fantastic work! I would recommend making the "100% Organic" filter more prominent, and simplifying the brand profile page styling. It was a little difficult to read through the text on the brand profile page because there are 8 different text styles in the same section. At first glance, I thought that none of the brands had websites, just social media. Also, I assume that you're adding this later but it would cool to have more granular filters for each main filter (e.g. wool without muelsing, product country of manufacture). Best of luck!

Thanks for the feedback. Im no designer so hearing you say all that totally makes sense and will work on that.

Yes, more filters coming soon. If you have any brands you know of please submit them!

>>>"...thought that none of the brands had websites, just social media..."

Same - thought it was an IG slurper.

I tried to look into some of the brands and their importing...

supply-chain-plastics need to be evaluated.

Thanks for the feedback.

On point #2, the mission (https://www.plasticfreeindex.com/about) is to focus on plastic's impact on human health not environmental. Although I agree the impact of plastics on the planet is important, I want to bring awareness to the major impact it is having on humans.

Mayhaps get an account with ImportYeti (yes I promote them here a lot - no affiliation, but its the only supplychain insight I have yet found. While they are great - I am not pushing them if has other resource)

Anyway, the point of me speaking on Import Yeti - is if you have a company shipping physical goods (like the Avacado matress advertised on your site - see who their back-end suppliers are - and then you can see to whom such suppliers are providing goods... and then you can see what other vendors of products from that supplier either claim, refute, etc -- you can extrapolate....)

>>>Rigorous Research: We dive deep into brand ingredient/material lists, certifications, and production processes to ensure zero microplastic presence.

A law should be required for all shipping bills https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_of_lading

- (this is also for those who just dont know about shipping )

But find a way where the bills of lading must require from each a document of material constituents for a given shipment by %....

Look at the rubber ducky, or the ships sinking carrying thousands of cars (made of thousands of plastics) etc....

So one could ostensibly track shipments based on an updated digital bill of lading claiming how much plastic is coming from who to whom...

However - You will always lose these battles due to human trafficking of everything

So - track the sources distributors of plastics and who THEIR largest customers are.

Lets explore for a second:

So we have china exproting to these countries, which are the

Interesting. I will take a look. Thanks

This is fantastic! After reading the story of stuff it’s so clear the earth needs to use compostable materials in as many things as possible.

Big fan of Ibex and Arms of Andes. Hoping to try out Iron Roots and Appalachian Gear Company soon.

Would love to learn if there’s any help you need with the project

Thanks so much. If you have any ideas send a message through the site or DM me on X (https://twitter.com/Dilnewm)

As a vegan for both ethical and environmental reasons, it's so hard to find clothes that are plastic free, animal free and also durable. I see you highlight some brands as being plant based so I really commend this effort. Thank you!

This is fantastic! Just ran into this last week with some gym clothes that I ended up just buying anyways…

How can someone like my support this project? Do you get paid as an affiliate?

Thanks for the kind words and the offer of support.

Right now there is no affiliates or monetization etc. I just found myself in the same position as you and wanted to offer what I learned to others.

Just sharing the project with people would be much appreciated... As well as submitting any brands I may have missed.

What are the standards for plastic-free? I suspect almost every piece of clothing with zippers is using nylon thread and backing, as well as plastic materials tags.

In our case it means 100% plastic free. It's much harder, but it can be done. For example: https://mover.eu/products/merino-techfleece-jacket

Materials Face fabric: 100% merino wool Bindings: 100% merino wool Threads: 100% cotton Zip teeth: 100% zinc copper Zip tape: 100% cotton Zip slider: 100% zinc copper Zip puller: 100% zinc copper Labels: 100% organic cotton

That's commitment! To add on this, I've seen companies use natural materials such as coconut and corozo for their buttons

Brilliant. Have you started reaching out to companies so they can be added to your list as part of their marketing (assuming legitimate qualification)?

I'm collecting a list of companies that seem to fit the qualifications, but am unclear on if they do. Have already started reaching out to those to confirm.

Whoa, nice. I wish I knew this existed before... I was recently trying to find plastic-free clothes on Amazon and learned that it was nearly impossible.

Awesome idea!

Nooooo!!! There are 2.452.267.994.236 genders in the world! How dare you put only two of these?

This but unironically (many clothes are unisex)
