I think that was a joke. DLC normally means downloadable content.

The downloadable cycles thing is very much real. There's a screenshot and I checked LG's documentation to make sure, it's a real thing in their ThinQ app (https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-thinq-how-to-u...)
