Targeted at foreign diplomats, requires a special app, and mobile phones to be deposited away from their owners while shopping – has anyone decompiled the app to see what it is up to?
This is somewhat fascinating considering the way that US gen Z is at the same time turning away from alcohol. I live in a wine region, heavily dependent on tourism, and I can tell you that industry is scared that millennials and Zs are not drinkers like previous generations.
Embassy parties are another way plenty of Saudis would get around to having a tipple (at least in Riyadh) - plus they're pretty fun, be it in DC, London, Riyadh, etc
Early in my expat career, I used to go to parties at the US embassy in Singapore. Cheap booze (alcohol in SG is normally very expensive) was a big highlight. Tons of fun and you'd meet all kinds of people.
Yep! In DC, an embassy party is a total date move - it's not that expensive and the events are fun. Embassy Week is always lit.
You have a call from the Scotch office, prime minister!
Ha ha ha..I got that reference! But that also makes me feel old. Yes Prime Minister was one of those rare shows that gets better with repeat viewing as you get older
