Exactly, why not? Daily stand-ups (DSU) have become "this is what I did yesterday" (which everyone heard already, YESTerday), and "this is what I plan to do today and I am [not] blocked", which transforms DSU into a Daily stand-UP waste of time. DSU's are supposed to be a time to share things that no one knows about, so why NOT Slack? Brilliant. Now, you don't have to schedule your DSU at some stupid time that interrupts everyone's day for people in different time zones.
