The fella who wrote this up, mostly comes off as an asshole in this.

Feels like we're missing some part of the story here.

Why was this posted? It just seems like a standard drama post trying to stir up bad feelings against the people involved.

I feel like more than one-word responses would help. These maintainers are busy and under a lot of pressure with many PRs.

Well, this doesn't seem to be mature project.

Why would you create a PR if you didn't want it reviewed and merged?

I'm not sure you understand GitHub. Projects don't want open PRs cluttering their queue.

A year is quite a long time but I imagine it's just a standard they've had to add due to previous problems.
