Yes, it is. What you see now is not how this started, there has been a lot of editing to change the situation to look different than it was initially.

I think most people are just angry at the CEO's reaction to the author; he definitely comes off as a petty jerk. I also think calling it plagiarism is a bit of a stretch.

Only after he called them out for it. The screenshot was taken after they silently changed it.

If it's not plagiarism, it's close enough that a) the TNW author should write more originally and 2) the TNW editor should not be such a jerk about it.
