I think you’re mistaken.

I’d have happily accepted the role if it initially listed for $10 and I applied for it.

But the job was listed for $60 and the hiring guy tried to low ball me to that amount. Which I felt very insulting and discriminatory.

I refused to accept that role out of self respect.
