Bernie Sanders: It's time for a 4-day work week

A four-day workweek across all sectors is still years away; however, a good few private companies, especially those in the tech industry, have adopted it. Here are 169 companies (https://okjob.io/companies/) that have implemented short workweeks for those who are interested. The USA and the UK are the leading countries with 4 day week companies(P.S. Doesn't the 4-day week already effectively already exist for many companies already. Sometimes it's called flex hours.

Converting a Monday or Friday into another weekend will cause all sorts of unforeseen problems in terms of long delays for things like mail, bank transfers, applications, etc. It will make business even less efficient, hurt economic productivity. Workers may also be less productive on the 'bookends' of a 3-day weekend, similar to observed on the day before holidays. So rather than a 4-day week, it's closer to 3.5 when one takes into account productivity loss. 5-day workweeks are probably optimal; any more or fewer comes at some cost to productivity.
