Apple Pulls WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, and Threads from App Store in China

I think it's a good time to Apple open its closed garden to allow sideloading.

It's 2024 and people should have the right to use their device as they would like to.

Any sort of restriction is a censorship too. Doesn't matter if it comes from governments or companies.

Are there any E2E-encrypted chat apps still available used in China?

Honestly I'm surprised most of them were even available for download to begin with. Signal and telegram have been blocked on a network level for years so even if you could download them they were mostly useless.

Useless? I don't think so. What about TOR, VPN and Proxy?

Maybe useless was a bit strong of a word. Combined with some VPN/proxy to bypass the great firewall they of course would become functional.
