I started sharing what it's like to build our startup
I think not enough founders talk about what it's really like week to week, trying to build something from scratch.
So this week, my co-founder, 2 teammates and I started a podcast. It's called Building Jam and it's a real conversation with the team about what it’s actually like to build our startup each week. No fluff, just real decisions, moments and challenges.
We recorded the first episode this week at our team offsite. On it, we discuss:
0:00 This week’s offsite and building in person
4:32 Bringing up difficult or confrontational topics with the team
7:18 Choosing what to focus on when there’s a lot going on
8:02 Finding the right format for team retros
10:11 Breaking the news that a beta product needs more iteration
11:51 Trusting your gut vs. data
12:29 Excitement and uncertainty about an upcoming launch
14:15 How to make hard-boiled eggs in Bogotá
You can listen to the first episode on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or RSS.

I really hope it's a fun and cathartic listen for those of you building startups too to hear our challenges, efforts and problems (it was certainly cathartic to record!). Let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions. We'll be launching a new episode every Friday at 10AM ET for the next few months.
