Is Google a good place to work? I hear it is deteriorating in quality

I wanted to know what the smarted people in the country do after college. So I looked at 500-700 profiles in LinkedIn who graduated from top colleges like MIT, Stanford, UCB, IIT, Tsinghua etc.

What I found out was pretty horrifying. Almost all of them went to FAANG, especially Google.

If all these smart people are in 1 company, but I am sure that the core products are being developed by a handful of people in lucky teams. My guess is that majority of the people are just doing menial tasks.

And since everyone is smart, every single promotion will be 100 times harder. Its like a slow moving funnel
