Climbing Gyms Are Unionizing. What Does That Mean for the Climbing Community?

My Movement gym, in Columbia, Md. is festooned with various progressive symbols -- branded with the corporate brand. The employee badges have their pronouns. A sign out front declares that "science is real" and "no person is illegal".

So it's disappointing that they wouldn't support the best tool for ensuring that its own staff is treated fairly. It's a lot easier to put up slogans than to actually pay for stuff.

People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices.
