Ask HN: How do you manage bookmarks (grouping, freezing)

I'm one the tab hoarders, opening many browser windows (each for different topic), 10-50 tabs each. Besides the grouping, I also like to freeze a topic for months, revisiting them later (deferred buying or travel decisions). I'm looking for best practices to manage such setups effectively, willing to learn new ways and tools. What's your workflow that you are willing to share?

Open source and self-hosted tools preferred, but not mandatory.
