32-bit: 2.5 GB, 64-bit: 3.3GB

Why?!

The 64-bit ISO will include copies of most of the 32-bit binaries for compatibility.

The WOW compatibility layer couldn't account for 700 MB.

Perhaps x64 built-in drivers plus their x86 equivalents? I'm tempted to download both, extract, and compare.

I'm not that sure... Plus 64 bits binaries are probably something in the order of 10% bigger.
